About: me
As a Lower Rhine native, born in Beuys Land, the following applies to me: I make, therefore I am.
For me, designing means putting things in order so that they are self-evident and logical, so that they explain themselves.
Designing is part of my life, it starts with preparing breakfast. Handwork and brainwork belong together. Artists have always been important for me as an impulse, artists have taught me that the process is essential.
Inspiration
Trained as a carpenter, it was personal encounters and intensive involvement with artists, above all Jerry Zeniuk, Adrian Schiess, Norbert Prangenberg, the Düsseldorf Academy and the legacy of Joseph Beuys, that influenced me.
Through studying their and other works, curating, exhibiting and publishing art, my path inevitably led to designing my own furniture objects.
My addiction is pictures, my passion is furniture making. My furniture objects are my form of respect and reverence for art.
